Immediately following graduation, she was accepted into the Five Points Arts Launchpad program, where she now has her practice based in Torrington, CT. Sedona is most recently exhibiting her wood sculpture Somnambulist at Underwater Kite Art Gallery in Windsor, CT from June-September 2026. Additionally, her painting The Dinner/IN CASE OF FIRE BREAK GLASS, will be exhibited in The 56th Annual Nor’Easter Juried Members Exhibition, and will take place at the New Britain Museum of American Art from August 15th to September 16th.
I work primarily in painting and sculpture to confront the nature of prey and predator dynamics, inspired by my own experiences as a woman. I use repeated symbols through my work to disguise my own stories and twist them into dreamlike scenes, akin to a cautionary tale. I use antique objects, nature imagery, inspiration from classic advertisement, and historical art influences to create a make-believe universe for my experiences to live in, hidden beneath my own created symbols to deepen, as well as obscure their ties to my reality.
Sedona Leach lives in Madison, CT, and her practice is split between Madison and Torrington, CT.
